Autumn Recipes (Part 2)

Irish Brown Bread

The tempurature has dropped, and Fall is officially here. We had a week long festival of delicious, hearty meals starting with the Irish brown bread pictured above. Slightly toasted, its perfect with a pairing of Irish butter.

Next up were fried black bean cakes over Basmati rice, with a side of salsa and sour cream. For a few days, I enjoyed Sharon’s excellent peasant soup made from potatoes, tomatoes, some bacon and cabbage. Later in the week was shrimp scampi with lemon and farfalle. So good and garlicky!

Lastly was some homemade pasta:

We decided to shut the TV off for the night and have a romantic dinner. Sharon was able to create ricotta stuffed ravioli with her own tomato sauce. Another absolutely perfect meal!
