This past weekend, before heading out to meet friends, Joel and I had a hankering for some chocolate and where better to go then Max Brenner. Although food is served, the restaurant prides itself on the multiple deserts they offer in a very lengthy sweets menu. After a long, hard decision-making process, Joel and I chose our chocolate confections: Joel: Max’s Three Layer Chocolate Concoction with Cookies and Peanut Butter (just what is sounds like, plus more chocolate) and I: an Eskimo (3 kinds of house made chocolate ice cream and of course, chocolate toppings).
After eating all of our deserts we feasted on Italian Hot Chocolate served in a “Hug Cup”. The cup was meant to be held in both hands, while pouring the chocolate out of the spout in the front — a great idea for a deliciously thick, hot treat on a cold night!
