We had a dash of spring this week before returning to temperatures to the 40s. That said, Sharon wanted to try 2 new dishes which immediately became new favorites of mine. First was her original take on the traditional English/Irish fare — Bangers & Mash:
Alongside mouth-watering Knockwurst (a pork & beef variation of Bratwurst) there were Sharon’s original “mash” — comprised of sweet potatoes and celery root. A perfect sweet and savory compliment.
Next was something I hope to have often in the next few months:
A special orecchiette pasta-based bowl of sweet peas, goat cheese, red onions, spicy chili peppers and a sprinking of lemon juice/zest to add a wonderful citrus bite. The flavors combined with beautiful textures making each bite perfect.
