Beth stops by from KCMO

My sister Beth stayed with us over the weekend and we enjoyed playing tourist with her for a few days. I took Friday off from work and spent the afternoon shopping Century 21, strolling through Battery Park and the FiDi. For the evening’s entertainment we spent an hour at our go-to with guests — Upright Citizen’s Brigade with the Stepfathers! So funny!

Saturday was icky out, so we spent some time inside before seeing the hilarious movie “I Love You Man”. I definitely haven’t laughed that hard in a long, long time, highly recommended! After some food shopping, we dined in and called it an early night to prepare for lots of walking on Sunday. We got up early and headed to the Brooklyn Bridge for a perfect stroll across. Taking the F back into the LES, we walked all around before ending up in the East Village dining on French Fries for lunch at Pommes Frites.

Heading to Broadway for an extended journey back downtown, we passed a curious sight — a Vitamin Water “store”? I was thirsty, so we headed in and were exposed to 10-calorie Vitamin Water on every wall! So strange! Satisfied after about 10 minutes, we trekked back down Lafayette until we hit Wall Street. Tired from the day, we spent the night on the couch before and said our goodbyes before work in the morning. A great weekend!
