Joel and I recently attended the mother of all NYC Holiday window unveilings at Bergdorf Goodman!
After being greeted by hot apple cider, we strolled each and every window, gawking at their beauty. Bergdorf has always been my favorite for the holidays. The colors, the lighting, the detail and the clothing choices are incredible and not to be missed. This years windows are, although a bit less glam, just as perfect as years past. With a subtle lunar/travel theme, they convey fantasy and dreaminess.
After glancing the windows 10 times over, Joel and I headed inside where we glimpsed at fashionistas and window dressers alike. The most important window dressers being the stars of the evening (aside from the windows), the actual window creators themselves – Linda Fargo and David Hoey. Both were signing copies of the new, limited edition book, Windows at Bergdorf Goodman. Joel and I scored a copy for Momma Martin, signed of course by both!
Many whiskeys and glasses of champagne later, Joel and I cabbed it home and looked back at the book. What a legacy Bergdorfs has created. Any visitor to NYC this holiday season would be smart not to miss these beauties.
